Welcome to the official website of The First International Conference on Ship Propulsion Technology (ICSPT 2026), the world’s premier academic and industrial forum dedicated to advancing underwater propulsion science, technology and engineering.
Prior to 2026, ICSPT was held as a national academic symposium within China since 2020. Now, it is growing into a globally influential platform uniting the international underwater propulsion community. Our core mission remains consistent: to foster borderless academic exchange, drive industry-academia collaboration, disseminate breakthrough research, and nurture emerging talent in this critical marine engineering discipline.
ICSPT 2026 will be held in Qingdao, China’s core marine technology innovation hub, from August 14 to 16, 2026, organized by the State Key Laboratory of Hydrodynamics and the Key Laboratory of Underwater Propulsion Technology of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, hosted by the College of Shipbuilding Engineering, Harbin Engineering University and the Qingdao Innovation and Development Base, Harbin Engineering University, and co-organized by the Heilongjiang Provincial Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Shanghai Key Laboratory of Ship Engineering, Zhishui Laboratory, Qingdao Huanghai University, the Journal of Harbin Engineering University, the Journal of Marine Science and Application, the Chinese Journal of Ship Research, the Journal of Shipbuilding of China, and the Chinese Journal of Hydrodynamics. The event will gather leading researchers, engineers, industry leaders and young scholars from over the world, covering core technical fields such as the design and optimization methods, unconventional propellers, numerical methods, cavitation and noise, experiments, arctic propulsion, multi-disciplinary etc.
Our agenda features world-class keynote speeches and themed technical sessions, offering an unparalleled platform for knowledge sharing and global collaboration. On behalf of the ICSPT 2026 Organizing Committee, we warmly welcome peers from across the globe to submit your original research, register for the conference, and join us in Qingdao this August to advance the frontier of underwater propulsion technology together.
